DigiAtithi is built on the principle of Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI). We believe you should own your data. We do not store your identity documents on our servers; they stay on your device.

When you use the DigiAtithi app, we may collect:

  • Identity Data: Name, DOB, Address, and ID numbers (processed locally on your device).
  • Device Information: Device model, OS version, and unique device identifiers for security.
  • Usage Data: How you interact with the app and platform to improve our services.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your data is used solely for:

  • Verifying your identity for hotel check-ins or event access.
  • Preventing fraudulent activities and identity theft.
  • Facilitating secure transactions between you and service providers.
  • Improving Platform functionality and user experience.

3. Data Storage & Security

Unlike traditional systems, DigiAtithi does not maintain a centralized database of guest identities. Your encrypted identity data is stored securely on your smartphone's secure enclave. When you scan a QR code at a hotel, you authorize a direct peer-to-peer transfer of specific data points required for check-in.

4. Sharing Your Information

We only share your information with third-party service providers (such as hotels or event organizers) when you explicitly authorize the transfer via the app. We do not sell or rent your personal data to marketers.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the data stored on your device via the DigiAtithi app.
  • Delete your identity profile and all associated data at any time.
  • Withdraw consent for data sharing with specific service providers.

6. Compliance with Law

We cooperate with government and law enforcement officials to enforce and comply with the law. We will disclose information about you to government or law enforcement officials as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate to respond to claims and legal process.
